Davis Mortuary Press Conference 8/21/2025

In regard to the Davis Mortuary ongoing investigation, I want to assure the community that we are taking this matter with the seriousness it deserves. We understand the importance of trust within the system and that it is earned through action and accountability. This will undoubtedly be an emotional journey for the families effected, and our hearts go out to them. We will work to ensure that they have guidance and are treated with fairness, respect, and dignity throughout the process.

This investigation will be conducted collaboratively, thoroughly, and professionally. We have multiple agencies, with CBI taking the lead, working through this investigation. The process will not be rushed. It's going to be long. It's going to be tedious. It's going to be thorough.

We ask for your patience as we move forward, as difficult as that will be. This is an active and ongoing investigation, therefore no criminal charges have been filed at this point. Criminal charges will be reviewed for filing by my office once the investigation is completed. Until then, we will keep you informed as appropriate, while maintaining the integrity of the investigation.

If you or a loved one utilized Davis Mortuary services and have concerns or have additional information please contact the Victim Assistance line: 719-257-3359 or email at [email protected].
