Pueblo Advisory Council on Aging (PACA)
The Board of Pueblo County Commissioners is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the Pueblo Advisory Council on Aging. The purpose of the Pueblo Advisory Council on Aging is to facilitate the involvement of older persons and other interested persons in the development and implementation of an Area Plan for aging services for the region. The Area Plan outlines how the Older Americans Act (OAA) federal funds will be used for services to older persons. OAA services include Meals on Wheels, Congregate Nutrition, Transportation, Information and Referral, Dental and Eyeglass Programs, In-Home Services, Long Term Care Ombudsman, Legal Services and other community-based services designed to assist older persons in maintaining their independence in their own homes for as long as possible.
PACA typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 2:30pm to 4:00pm (unless close to a holiday).
The PACA nominating committee will review all applications and make recommendations to the full membership of the Advisory Council. PACA will then select applicants to be recommended to the Pueblo Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). As the designated Pueblo Area Agency on Aging (PAAA) for Region 7, serving Pueblo County.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, June 15, 2026. To apply, go to https://county.pueblo.org/boards-and-commissions-department/boards-and-commissions.
